Amy specialises in real estate law, including property dealings, development and leasing, and commercial matters.  In her real estate work, Amy acts for a range of clients including developers, Banks, liquidators, administrators, receivers and private owners in a broad range of matters including:

  • acquisitions and disposals including in the areas of rural and industrial properties, due diligence  and distressed property/asset sales for banking and insolvency clients
  • advising on development projects, including assisting clients obtain and comply with development consents
  • retail, commercial and industrial leasing, including acting for both landlords on the preparation and negotiation of the lease documents and tenants in the areas of lease reviews, negotiations and due diligence matters
  • the creation, variation and extinguishment of various types of property interests

Amy became an Accredited Specialist in Property Law in 2021.

Specialist Accreditation is a structured peer to peer assessment process through the Law Society of NSW enabling practitioners to be recognised for their expertise.  To be accredited specialists must pass a series of meticulous assessments on both legal knowledge and its application in practice.  To retain their accreditation specialists must undertake significant additional professional development in their area of expertise.

Amy also has extensive experience acting in a range of commercial transactions including advising clients on commercial agreements including the sale and purchase of a variety of businesses, with particular attention to the childcare industry and regularly advises on the establishment, sale and purchase of childcare centres and leasing agreements relating to greenfield childcare projects.  She has also assisted clients with regulatory issues and complaints being investigated and pursued by the Department of Education.

Amy also acts for the firm’s private clients in the areas of structuring, asset protection, estate planning and business succession planning.
